Spot Commodity Trading

Spot trades, closed on market terms — not the first offer.

Kervan Resource Partners arranges spot sales of concentrate and mineral lots between junior and mid-tier producers and vetted international buyers, structured back-to-back to minimize risk on both sides.

What is spot commodity trading in mining?

A spot trade is a single, one-off sale of concentrate at current market pricing — as opposed to a long-term offtake agreement. It's the right fit when a producer has a specific lot to move quickly, or a buyer needs to fill a short-term supply gap. Spot trades are typically structured back-to-back: the sale to the buyer is locked in before the purchase from the producer is finalized, minimizing price and delivery risk.

Lot Sourcing & Matching

We identify available lots from our producer network and match them against active buyer demand for the same commodity and region.

Back-to-Back Structuring

Purchase and sale are structured together to minimize exposure — we don't hold price risk on inventory we don't need to.

Quality & Logistics Coordination

Independent sampling and assay coordination, plus shipment logistics, so both sides trade with confidence in the numbers.

Consolidation for Smaller Lots

When a single producer's volume doesn't meet a buyer's minimum, we combine multiple lots into a shipment-ready quantity.
